Carolyn’s Work Experience
I graduated from Creighton University as a BSN and started my career in pediatric hematology-oncology, bone marrow transplant at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. After six years caring for my patients in the hospital, I decided it was time to obtain my MSN at University of Missouri Kansas City in Family Medicine. Since obtaining my APRN degree I have spent most of my time working in a Spanish speaking Federally Qualified Health Clinic with ages newborn to adult. During my time there I was given the privilege of caring for a wide variety of health conditions including care for obstetric patients!

Me gradué de la Universidad de Creighton como BSN y comencé mi carrera en hematología-oncología pediátrica y trasplante en el Children’s Mercy Hospital en Kansas City, Missouri. Después de seis años cuidando a mis pacientes en el hospital, decidí que era hora de obtener mi MSN en Medicina Familiar en la Universidad de Missouri Kansas City. Desde que obtuve mi título APRN, he pasado la mayor parte de mi tiempo trabajando en una clínica de salud calificada federalmente de habla hispana desde recién nacidos hasta adultos. Durante mi estancia allí, tuve el privilegio de atender una amplia variedad de afecciones de salud, incluida la atención de pacientes obstétricas.
Why I love what I do:
I love kids. I love the joy kids bring to the world, the things they say, and how fun they make my job. My passion is working with kids to be happy and healthy in childhood so they can continue to be healthy for the rest of their lives!
Por qué amo lo que hago
Amo a los niños. Me encanta la alegría que los niños traen al mundo, las cosas que dicen y lo divertido que hacen mi trabajo. ¡Mi pasión es trabajar con niños, ya que de esta manera puedo contribuir a que sean seres saludables y felices desde su infancia hasta el resto de sus vidas!
